Anyone else ready for the sun to show it's glorious face?!
I am so grateful the storm was not worse locally, but I know some are still dealing with the awful flooding. I wish it was in my powers as a photographer to control the weather. But, unfortunately, I'm still working on this skill ;)
Last Friday, I had the absolute pleasure of meeting this adorable family! They had recently welcomed their sweet girl, Sawyer, and I was so excited to meet her. It was DARK, rainy and generally gross outside. For newborn sessions, I always work in the family's home using the sunlight that comes in the house. That means no lamps, flash or artificial light. It's a natural style I'm in love with and has come to be my "look" if I can say that. Usually, I love having lots of sunshine streaming through, but Mother Nature was just not going to let that happen for us.
But these three were so laid back and easy, we created some gorgeous images that perfectly reflect their love for one another! Who needs sunshine when you have fresh, new, baby love... right? ;)
I am in love with the mood and emotion of these images... *swoon*
Check out sweet big brother, Rufus, giving me the eyes. He was so sweet and protective of his humans! xoxo
"Yes, you may take my picture. But the swaddle blankets are MINE." LOL!
All the feels.
Aahh...just love all these.
Are you expecting? Newborn calendar dates are booking into 2016 and it's never too early to contact me. I take on minimal sessions around my clients' due dates so we can schedule around your maternity and paternity leave. I love documenting this special time for families - such an honor!
